In the blink of an eye 2016 is almost gone. This year marked CEI’s 30th year in business, what a milestone! 30 years of being in this industry is a true test of time. Doing what it takes to keep on top of the ever evolving technology scene is not always an easy task. We took a giant leap forward by releasing our very first cloud based product, ProWrite Cloud. It’s not so hard to implement changes when you have great customers! With the release of cloud we wanted to make sure we had plenty of customer service staff on hand so we welcomed Brett Bagwell to the CEI family. He’s lasted long enough now that we think he may like us, maybe just a little.
A couple of our fun highpoints of the year include our family outings to the Royals games and collecting items for our Community Service League here in Blue Springs. In case you haven’t heard the Royals won the 2015 World Series and we kind of think that’s a big deal! Thankfully our boss did too, so he thought it would be nice to have us attend some of the games together this year. In August of this year CEI kicked off its 1st food drive for the Blue Springs CSL. Since we just showed up with food and toiletries in hand they were not only grateful but surprised. Next year we are hoping to collect much more and maybe tell them ahead of time that we are on our way over. We also donated bigheartedly to the National Military Family Association and City Union Mission, both great programs.
Once again Fabtech is now behind us and this year the show was rockin’! But what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Antonio and Jason came back with smiles on their faces, not because they won $$ but because they were lucky enough to meet some of our customers face-to-face. They also got to socialize with new people interested in our products which of course is always a plus. It is never a dull moment at Fabtech.
Our finale was CEI’s yearly Christmas party. Everyone brought their families together for a mean game of pin the nose on the snowman, decorating a human Christmas tree, candy guess, jamming to some Christmas music and eating all the fine food everyone brought in. A great ending to a terrific year!
On a more serious note we wouldn’t be where we are today without the idea being brought to life by our owner Jim Shearer or by the customers who decided to stay with us through the years while we forged our way onward. So from CEI to all involved a big THANK YOU and hope 2017 treats you well!
