Nikki Crowell-Taynton

Facilitator of Creative Chaos

“It always seems impossible, until it is done.” – Nelson Mandela

Nikki graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English from Baker University. She then proceeded to not write anything at all for over five years. After an unfulfilling stint as a tutu-maker, she returned to her roots and completed two years of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). As this accomplishment brings with it absolutely no recognition or recompense, she finally grew up and got a real job writing documentation for CEI.

When not writing slightly ridiculous website bios in which she refers to herself in the third person, Nikki spends her time proofreading everything that comes across her desk, creating manuals and help files, and coordinating CEI's community outreach efforts.

Ryan Witt

Chief Officer of Technobabble

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." – Benjamin Franklin

Ryan came to us after seven years of running his own startup because working with CEI is even cooler than working for himself. It’s also easier to find time to go hiking in the mountains when the entire weight of the company isn’t resting on your shoulders. But really it’s because we’re that cool. Really.

As for what we get out of the deal – Ryan brings a decade of IT Systems Administration knowledge and experience to the table. He also increases the number of Missouri Mavericks fans in the office. Plus, sometimes he brings his dogs in for the day. And who doesn’t love Boxers?

Office Wrangler

"Be happy with what you have and are, be generous with both, and you won't have to hunt for happiness." - William E. Gladstone

Surviving four teenagers at home honed Tammy’s chaos surfing skills. She can take sales calls, process payments, herd support staff, and organize the company Christmas party with time left over for Pilates.

When not spontaneously getting her dance on at her desk, Tammy prefers to spend time outdoors walking, fishing, and practicing archery at her church. As she has expressed a desire to visit Colorado, we at CEI may find ourselves chowing down on wild game in the Rockies next Christmas.

Tiradej Bunyarattaphantu

Engineering Grunt
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.” – often misattributed to Albert Einstein

Tiradej thinks he’s awesome because his last name puts him at the top of the list. And because the research he performed during a previous summer internship was presented at SupDet 2013. And because he knows pi to 17 places. And because he has a dog named SpongeBob.

But we know that he didn’t even name that dog. Other than that, though, we have to agree with his assessment. In addition to bringing his mechanical engineering game from Missouri University of Science and Technology and assisting Mike with DesignCalcs, he will also eat pretty much anything. This makes for some serious culinary entertainment.
